- Shaarey Tefilla has been slotted to have programming for
the Jewish Community at Pendleton every Friday @ 1 pm. If you
are interested in participating in the prison outreach @ Pendleton,
please let Rabbi know. We are collecting Jewish books and magazines
– as well as CDs - to provide reading material.

- Fri August 8 at 6:30 pm. - Melissa Cohen will be chanting
Kabbalat Shabbat for us.
- Melissa Cohen is a new teacher at the Bureau of Jewish Education.
She was the former assistant director of University of Illinois
Hillel. She has her MA in voice. Melissa also is a private voice
instructor.
Please make every effort to join us for this inspiring Shabbat
service.
- Tisha B’Av Services -
- August 9th at 8:30 pm and on Sunday morning, August 10th
at 9:30 p.m. Tisha B’Av commemorates the destruction of
the Temple in Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586 BCE and the
Romans in the year 70. It is a full fast day – like Yom
Kippur. Please assist us with the minyan by your presence on
either Saturday night or Sunday morning.

- Please join the CST Singles to listen to the River City Brass
Band. The congregation is invited.
