The Difference is Inside
As the High Holidays approach, we are encouraged to right our
wrongs reflect how we can be better people in the New Year. As
I approach the holidays, I am thankful that I am among an amazing
group of people who continue the Jewish Traditions with their
families, not simply by talk but by action. I'm humbled to be
the leader of this community of knowledgeable, giving, caring
people who gather for a common cause. I thank all of you for making
the difference in the experiences that we have had at Shaarey
Tefilla this past year. While our synagogue is a wonderful structure,
it truly is who is inside that makes the difference. Without
each of you, we would not be where we are today. We have a beautiful
building, but more importantly we have an amazing group of
congregants who are warm hearted, diligent and driven to make
a difference both in the community as well as the synagogue.
For those who are new, if you have not been called to join in
any of our various activities you will be called upon soon.
As we begin the New Year, remember to embrace the reason why we
exist.
Traditions are carried through our families from parents to children
and from a group of people to the community. We gather for a common
cause in order to pray together, to celebrate together and console
together. As we reflect on the past year and move forward with
the next, keep in mind that services are a vital part of our existence.
Come join the camaraderie and if it hasn't been a tradition in
the past make services a new tradition of celebration with prayer.
There are and will be many opportunities to make a difference
while having a little fun and growing new friendship. Join in
the fun of helping the congregation grow.
L'Shanah Tovah! May you experience a peaceful, healthy, happy
New Year.
May you be written for a quality time with family, friends and
prosperous experiences.
